Overview
Interns with the Cumulus San Francisco Digital Department will work 20-30 hours a week, including some nights and weekends, to help mostly with KNBR.com, however, duties will also include support for KFOG, KGO, KSAN, KSFO, KSJO and KTCT. Main responsibilities will be shooting and editing video, posting AudioBoom podcasts into URLs, graphic design, building photo galleries, and eventually some live game coverage. Each intern will also be responsible for coming up with one long-term project to work on over the course of the internship.
The training interns will receive will be similar to that which one would receive in a vocational school. All training will be for the benefit of the trainees/interns and they will not displace regular employees, but work under close observation.
The Cumulus San Francisco Digital Department will derive no immediate advantage from the activities of interns and, on occasion, the employer’s operations may be impeded while training interns.
Interns are not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship and are not entitled to wages for the time spent in training.
