Daniel Berger withdrew from the BMW Championship prior to the start of Sunday’s final round due to an injury.
Berger, 32, appeared to have sustained a finger injury while swinging his club during the third round of the tournament in Owings Mills, Md. He was seen icing his finger on the NBC broadcast.
Berger sat at 2-over-par 212 through 54 holes at Caves Valley Golf Club.
A four-time PGA Tour winner, Berger entered play in the tournament ranked 33rd in the FedEx Cup standings. He needed to be in the top 30 to advance to East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta for next week’s Tour Championship.
